Después de que la propiedad del museo fuera transferida al Consejo de Kirklees en 1974, la pintura fue trasladada a la Galería de Arte de Huddersfield, donde se exhibe de forma permanente, a menos que sea prestada a otras instituciones.

Still a 5 star educational attraction. During school time it's only open at the weekend. In the holidays open every day bar Monday and Friday. Opening hours change depending on winter/summer and term/out of term times. Needs a lot of people to keep going and make a donation when they can. Make sure the council can't/won't close it. Nor many museums left in Kirklees now.

I've not been here since I was a kid. Was really impressed at the displays and forgot that it had so much more than the Egyptian stuff that I was originally interested in as a kid. Also forgot just how steep the walk up to the museum was 🥵😂🤣, but was definitely worth it 👍👌. And it's free! 😁

An enjoyable visit to this small, interesting museum. Particularly liked the local history sections. Very friendly staff. However, we missed the Jungle and Mummy exhibits from years ago.
